State Surplus Property receives and sells all items no longer
needed by the state. This includes office furniture, computer
equipment, vehicles, and hundreds of other items. There are no
restrictions on who can purchase state surplus property.
The state surplus property program transfers property between
agencies and sells property surplus to satisfy the needs of
state agencies. The primary method of sale is though public
auctions, with approximately 50 auctions conducted each year
around Virginia.

The West Virginia State Agency for Surplus Property is a unit
under the Purchasing Division. In operating the State and
Federal Surplus Property Programs, our state agency has assisted
thousands of eligible organizations by offering good, usable
property at a substantially reduced price.
